WILMINGTON The family of a woman whose remains were found in Wilmington two years ago returned to the area to follow up with investigators this week.
Allison Jackson-Foys father and sister talked with the district attorney and police about the case Thursday. The victims remains were found in a wooded area off Carolina Beach Road alongside the remains of another woman in 2008.
So far, no arrests have been made.
Now the family is concerned that, just last month, the remains of a third woman were found a few miles away from the other crime scene.
“Anytime they find a body, and I always follow everything closely in the Wilmington news, it’s always like: Oh my gosh, could this be connected? said Lisa Valentino, Jackson-Foys sister. Especially when it’s in close proximity to where my sister and Angela [Rothen] were found.”
Valentino says authorities assured her theyre exploring all leads and are not ruling out any possibilities.
The family recently started the Allison Jackson-Foy memorial fund. All donations go to the CUE Center for Missing Persons in Wilmington. ,
